MJD Foundation

The MJD Foundation assisted in the facilitation of referrals and translation for Genetic Counselling, conducted for the NT Department of Health and Families by Genetic Health Queensland.  This vital service will enable MJD sufferers and their families to understand more about the disease, how it occurs within families and what options may be available to them to enhance their management of it.

Associate Professor John MacMillan met with key family and community members, engaged in individual and group sessions and began the important process of building relationships with the Groote Eylandt and Bickerton Island MJD families.
