Anindilyakwa Land Council (ALC) / Groote Eylandt Bickerton Island Enterprises (GEBIE)
The Anindilyakwa Land Council (and their business arm GEBIE) are the primary partners and sponsors of the MJD Foundation.  The ALC/GEBIE has committed over $2,000,000 in funding to the MJDF and has prioritised MJD in its negotiations for Regional Partnership Agreements (RPA) with the Commonwealth Government consistent with their authority as the Aboriginal cultural and physical custodians of the Groote Eylandt archipelago.  All activities of the MJDF on Groote are conducted with the advice and approval of this body.

Groote Eylandt Mining Company (GEMCo)
GEMCO (BHP Billiton) is the MJD Foundation’s equipment sponsor.  Gemco completed the first ramp project in August 2008 "Jock's ramp" in Angurugu and continue to provide direct support to MJD clients and their families on Groote Eylandt through the supply of equipment and other key projects.

ALPA

Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation
ALPA was established in 1972 and is an Aboriginal-owned benevolent organisation which provides benefits to its members from the successful operation of community retail stores.
ALPA sponsors the MJD Foundation by funding equipment for our clients and the community on Elcho Island as part of their Benevolent Program. 
In 2010, ALPA funded two electric hospital beds for MJD clients in Galiwin'ku.
In 2011, ALPA contributed signifcant funds towards the Elcho Island aircraft wheelchair lift.

TIOTIO
TIO have contributed significant funds towards the MJD Foundation's wheelchair accessible vehicle on Groote Eylandt.

Premier Australian law firm, Gilbert + Tobin hosted the Foundation's Southern Launch and Charity Fundraiser event in Sydney and continues to support the Foundation through providing legal services around contracts with suppliers and disability discrimination advice.

In 2009, the MJD Foundation was awarded a Coca Cola Australia Foundation grant that was used for our project "Young Men's Camp" as the first step in our Youth Camp program.

Regional Arts Fund

The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government initiative supporting the arts in regional, remote and very remote/isolated Australia. The program is delivered in partnership with the Northern Territory Government.

The Regional Arts Fund provided a grant for "Our Story".  A filming project with young men affected by Machado Joseph Disease on Groote Eylandt.

The Toll Group support the MJD Foundation by providing mainland free of charge freight from Darwin to remote Northern Territory communities.  They also assisted in 2010 by shipping two aircraft wheelchair lifts from Tasmania to Darwin, and again in 2011 by shipping another aircraft lift to Darwin which is destined for Elcho Island.

Territory Alliance is a consortium that is completing much of the housing construction under the Federal Government Strategic Indigenous Housing Infrastructure Program (SIHIP). The Anindilyakwa Land Council made an initial cash donation of $100,000 to help get the MJD Foundation started, and has since donated $1,000,000 to primarily focus on research.

NBC Consultants
NBC Consultants is an not-for-profit Aboriginal owned architectural building consultancy founded in 1982.  The company is owned by 14 shareholder Aboriginal communities.  Each community nominates a representative on an annual basis to be a Director. At each meeting, the Directors allocate the profits of the company to support Aboriginal students, cultural activities, Aboriginal music, development projects, festivals and other worthwhile causes.
NBC Consultants provided a generous cash donation of $3,000 in 2009 to the MJD Foundation, and continue to support the work of the Foundation by pledging a further $3,000 from 2010 and for the next 4 years.

The Country Women's Association of Groote Eylandt meets regularly in Alyangula and have been strong supporters of the MJD Foundation since 2010. In July 2011, they donated almost $6,000 towards the MJD Foundation's communication project rolling out iPads to our clients on Groote Eylandt and Bickerton Island.

Lioness Club of Sutherland Shire
Nadia Lindop spoke at a Lioness Club dinner, and the club made a generous donation of $1,000 towards a Communication Aid for a young girl with MJD.

Further to this, the Lioness Club invited the MJD Foundation to speak at the International Women's Day lunch in March 2010.  Through the sale of merchandise, and donations from individuals (as well as another $500 from the club), the MJD Foundation raised almost $1,000 on the day.

The Anindilyakwa Land Council is the primary partner and sponsor of the MJD Foundation.
 FaHCSIADepartment of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA)
FaHCSIA has provided initial funding to establish the MJD foundation and commence the implementation of services to people with MJD in the Groote Eylandt region. Indigenous Affairs Minister Jenny Macklin announced the funding in March 2008 and she and her staff have been very supportive of the Foundation.
 QLD GovtGenetics Health Queensland (GHQ)
Genetics Queensland has recently been awarded a contract to provide genetic testing and counselling services for the NT by the NTDH&CS.  It is anticipated that the service will comprise visits to each region 3 times per year.
Professor John MacMillan has conducted several visits to the communities to date.  => Read More
The MJD Foundation will assist family members to access Professor MacMillan during his visits and support the referral and follow up process for this important service within the community.
Professor MacMillan also provided feedback and advice regarding the preparation of some basic genetic education material appropriate to the region.  The MJD Foundation will print, translate and distribute this material within the community. 
 DHFNT Department of Health and Families
NT Department of Health and Families has appointed an MJD Coordinator who will work collaboratively with the MJD Foundation to implement services for MJD patients in the NT.

Anglicare NT partner with the MJD Foundation on providing travel and respite trips for MJD clients and their families.

Carers NT support the MJD Foundation through small grants and providing access to their Troopy Program
Indigenous Community VolunteersIndigenous Community Volunteers
ICV works in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to design and implement community development projects.  They draw on a large base of skills from all around Australia of people wishing to volunteer their time.
The MJD Foundation have established a partnership with ICV whereby ICV assist the MJD Foundation's projects by providing volunteers.
